So, let's start by the ages:

Who can participate?

Children and young people from 6 to 17 years old.

Where do they take place?

In Portugal, at our camp Mizar Village.

And the dates?

Like in the previous years, we'll be running 1 and 2 week camps, always starting and finishing on Saturdays.

Fortnight camps:

• 1st Turn: July 2 to July 16
• 2nd Turn: July 16 to July 30
• 3rd Turn: July 30 to August 13
• 4th Turn: August 13 to August 27
• 5th Turn: August 27 to September 10

One-week camps take place simultaneously, and their participants are integrated in the current fortnight camp, being part of the groups and participating in the same activities.

Weekly camps:

• 1st Turn: July 2 to July 9
• 2nd Turn: July 9 to July 16
• 3rd Turn: July 16 to July 23
• 4th Turn: July 23 to July 30
• 5th Turn: July 30 to August 6
• 6th Turn: August 6 to August 13
• 7th Turn: August 13 to August 20
• 8th Turn: August 20 to August 27
• 9th Turn: August 27 to September 3
• 10th Turn: September 3 to September 10

And how much do they cost?

One-week camps, 295 euros.

Fortnight camps, 550 euros.

VAT included.

Do you have discounts? How's the payment done?

Yes, we do have discounts. We have a promotion going on that will allow parents to register their sons for only 255 euros / week, or 495 euros / fortnight, but to get these prices, the registration must be completely paid before the camp starts.

Another way to get a discount is to register brothers, friends, neighbours, etc. For every extra registration, you'll get 10% discount.

Mizar has agreements with several companies, institutions, associations, unions, etc., so that their employees and colaborators have access to cheaper registration fees for their children. If you belong to any of them, get informed of your discounts.

As for the payment, you can pay the whole price at the registration, or it can be split in monthly fees.

In case your monthly fees go beyond the camp's starting date, you'll not be granted the promotional prices.

Payments can be delivered by ATM, cash, check or bank transfer.

What if I change my mind?

In case of cancelling the registration, if it's done at least one month before the Camp begins, Mizar refunds you 100% of the price paid.

If you're cancelling between one month and 2 weeks before the Camp begins, Mizar refunds 50% of the price paid.

If you're cancelling in the two week period right before the Camp begins, Mizar will not refund you, unless that Camp is at least 90% full of registrations. In thats case, the refund will be 50% of the price paid.

What is included in the registration?

In our Summer Camps, all participants have:

• Accomodation, in Mizar Village, in houses with 8/9 beds each.
• Meals, 5 per day: breakfast, lunch, afternoon snack, dinner, supper
• Accident and liability insurance.
• Medical care and treatment.
• Program and activities
• Professional, friendly, permanent supervision by a team of experienced leaders.
• Transportation, to and from the Camp, from places where there are, at least, 30 registrations.

What about the activities?

Our programs are based on our PlayCampus methodology, where we combine the Playful to both the educational and communicative aspects (Campus), addressed to the emotional and formative characteristics and needs of every participant.

We are aware that each group of children/youngsters is unique and, therefore, we guide and motivate our leaders to drive the activities and shape the program to best suit the group identity.

Our Summer Camp programs offer, often in a creative way, the following activities:

Hikking

Letterboxing, treasure hunt, photo treasure hunt, orienteering.

Adventure Sports

Canoeing, mountain bikes, mountaineering, paintball, rappelling, archery.

Workshops

Music, video, cooking, folklore, creative writing, expressions, recycling...

Dynamics

Group dynamics, interaction dynamics.

Great Games

Day games, night games, team games, exploration games.

Visits

To cultural places, mystery places, funny places.

Word and Speech

Group debates and discussions

What about the transportation to the Camp?

Departures and arrivals by bus, in Lisbon, are at the usual spot, near Orlando Ribeiro Library in Telheiras.

Always on Saturdays, departures to the Camp are at 15h00, and the arrivals are earlier, between 12h30 and 13h00.

We also organize transportation to and from other locations, considering that there are, at least, 30 participants.

Occasionally, the bus trip can be substituted by train. In these situations, the departure will be at Santa Apolónia train station in Lisbon.

Whether by bus or train, the participants are always accompained by their team-leaders during the trips to and from the Camp.
